I took a pregnancy test at home.
Over the counter pregnancy tests are commonly the first thing women use to determine if they are pregnant or not. The most accurate at home tests typically cost between $7 and $20 and are available at pharmacies (e.g. Walgreens, CVS), grocery stores (e.g. Publix, Winn Dixie), department stores (e.g. Wal-Mart, Target), and various other stores. Not all over the counter pregnancy tests are accurate in identifying if you are pregnant. Some may have false readings: false positive tests and false negative tests.

Lifeline Family Center offers a free, 99% accurate, lab quality pregnancy test. You do not have to spend the money or risk a false reading. Call to schedule a confidential appointment today.

How does a urine pregnancy test work?
Over the counter pregnancy tests work by identifying the hCG (human Chorionic Gonadotropin) in urine that is only present when you are pregnant. hCG levels increase exponentially the longer you are pregnant. Many over the counter pregnancy tests will show multiple blue or pink lines if you are pregnant and show one line if you are not pregnant.

How far along am I?
How far along you are in your pregnancy is normally determined by the first day of your last menstrual period (lmp). We can help you figure that out.

I just had my period, but my at home pregnancy test was positive. Can I be pregnant?
Yes.
